After over 20 years of designing and manufacturing trusted private label products for other brands, Diversitech Global has launched its own private label sustainable gardening tools brand called Gairdín available for retailers.
The stated aims of the brand is improved Eco-friendliness with products being primarily composed of recycled and renewable sustainable materials.
Simon Hopper, CEO, Diversitech Global, stated that “Gairdín was created with the intention of being able to offer our customers more environmentally friendly products without compromising great quality and value.”
The Gairdín gardening tools range will use two key recycled and renewable materials:
- Ocean-Bound Plastics: Captured and recycled before they enter waterways, are transformed into new materials that would have otherwise ended up in open waters.
- Algae-Blended Resin: A renewable and naturally grown biomass, replaces the commonplace oil-based thermoplastics found in many household goods.
This is what led them to create gardening tools composed from from recycled and renewable materials. Simon said “these materials are not only much better for the environment but still designed to provide quality, durable tools that gardeners can rely on.”
The initial Gairdín line up will consist of a range of ocean-based plastic planter pots including self-watering types and gardening hand tool sets of spades, forks, and rakes using biomass grown algae-blended resin, recycled aluminum and fibre-glass composite materials.
For gardening tool retailers, this is an opportunity to provide their customers an alternative solution for those who care deeply about how their gardening tools are made amidst the current climate change issues.
