OK folks this one is definitely for the City Councilors, and for the Mass Transit people.
It's about time that the mass transit people got off their collective duffs and realized that people who live in SMALL villages and SMALL cities ALSO need mass transit systems, just like they do in the BIG cities, just because they happen NOT to live in outlying areas, they are treated as if they were pariahs. Should someone dare to ask why they don't have a mass transit system, they are told in VERY short order, there's no profit in providing one to a location so far from the city.
WELL HERE'S A NEWS FLASH FOR YOU FOLKS, you are basing your findings on out dated figures. More and more people are being forced out to the outlying areas, so more and more people NEED a mass transit system, so the IS a profit to be made in providing one. PLUS you will also be helping to reduce the pollution from the traffic that no longer needs to use the roads because people can take the bus/tram/train. BUT and it's a VERY BIG BUT, people cant TAKE the bus/tram/train UNTIL you PROVIDE it.
So get off your collective backsides and DO SOMETHING will you, NO I don't mean THINKING about talking about doing something, nor do I mean talking about doing something, I MEAN ACTUALLY DOING SOMETHING. That IS what you were elected for after all. It does not take rocket science to organize a simple mass transit system. :cool:
